The 2000-year-old Transylvanian city of Cluj is home to approximately 420,000 people from a mixture of Romanian, Hungarian, and international backgrounds making it a bustling and vibrant city. It remains a central hub of innovative development in the region that attracts job seekers, university students, and refugees looking toward the future.
The YWAM staff in Cluj work in several key areas which visiting teams can join in with, such as running youth day camps, holding small group Bible studies and evening gatherings, serving refugees, visiting schools in nearby villages or even participating in one of the location’s Homes of Hope Building projects.

Homes of Hope has the chance to make a life changing difference and break cycles of poverty for a family in the Cluj area and abroad. We are blessed to have had opportunities to join them in this beautiful endeavor.
While we have joined groups for small portions of this project with no additional cost, for groups interested in making building a home the focus of their trip, there is an additional €15,000 cost to cover materials. This is an incredible way to make a long-term impact in the lives of those in need but is in no way a requirement to have an incredibly impactful missions' trip.
Every team gets a day to enjoy some down time, take in the sights and experience local culture. There are a lot of beautiful places to see, such as the Botanical Garden, National History Museum, panoramic views of the historic downtown, or head 400ft underground and visit the incredible Salina Turda Salt Mine.
AVAILABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL APPLICANTS
youth age 15-18 can apply to serve in this location and come without an adult leader. ywam staff will lead the team and be responsible for you for the duration of the trip.
