COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) UPDATE 31/05/2020

This likely comes as no surprise but we unfortunately have to make the call to cancel our summer Make Him Known and Mission Adventures programmes for 2020 due to the government guidelines around foreign travel and large gatherings. This is a huge disappointment for our team and YWAM campus as a whole, as we love engaging young people in missons. Our sincere apologies to all who would have attended these events. We look forward to making the most of all of the opportunities this situation has provided and continuing to find ways to engage young people in walking out the gospel. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at hello@youthmissions.co.uk.

COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) UPDATE 19/03/2020

Our team would like to reassure you that we are taking the unfolding situation regarding COVID-19 seriously. We are closely monitoring the situation and continually assessing how we can best follow directives from the UK government and the World Health Organisation.

As a result of the recent travel restrictions implemented by many nations across the globe, and following the advice from the UK government, our easter Mission Adventures programme had to be cancelled. We do not wish to cancel our summer programme prematurely, the advice has been changing at such a fast pace, and it is completely unknown how things will look a few months from now and into the summer. We will be continually reviewing our plans for our summer Mission Adventures programme and the Make Him Known weekend as the situation unfolds, and will look to make decisions sometime in May as to whether or not they will go ahead. By then we should have more of an idea of the trajectory we are heading in and if things are starting to improve it should still give enough time to ensure there are appropriate accommodation and travel arrangements and ministry opportunities for all participants. We will also be putting on hold all Rise Up Tour visits to church and university groups for the time being.

With the ever-changing nature of this situation, please note that we will aim to update this statement as the guidance changes and contact all group leaders with updated information.

We continue to follow and implement the recommendations and guidance from the UK government (and thereby the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Scientific Officer) and monitoring advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
